Following a successful festival run, the charming Irish dramedy Life’s A Breeze will arrive in theatres, iTunes and on demand in Canada November 7, from Video Services Corp.
An official selection of the Toronto and Busan International Film Festivals, and award-winner at the Galway Film Fleadh and Newport Beach Film Festival, Life’s A Breeze follows a family struggling to stay afloat and together through hard times in Ireland. When the family makes a well-intentioned attempt to clean out their mother’s house, and accidentally trashes a mattress she has been stashing her life savings in, Nan, her unemployed slacker son Colm, and his niece Emma, must overcome their many differences to lead their family in a race against time to find a lost fortune.
Life’s A Breeze stars Fionnula Flanagan (The Others, The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Waking Ned Devine, Four Brothers, Yes Man). It also stars Pat Shortt (The Guard, Calvary).
The film was nominated for Best Lead Actress (Fionnula Flanagan) and Best Supporting Actress (Kelly Thornton) at the Irish Film and Television Awards.
A DVD and Blu-ray release will follow January 20, 2015
