Raven Banner Entertainment and Cineplex Front Row Centre Events presents The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh, a film by Rodrigo Gudino, the 2nd film in the new horror series, Sinister Cinema, hitting theatres nationwide on May 9.
Written and directed by RODRIGO GUDIÑO, Rue Morgue Magazine’s founder and publisher, The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh stars AARON POOLE (The Samaritan, Copper, The Conspiracy), alongside Academy-Award® winner VANESSA REDGRAVE (Mission: Impossible, Coriolanus), JULIAN RICHINGS (X-Men 3: The Last Stand, Supernatural), STEPHEN ERIC McINTYRE (High Life, Fear X), Genie Award winning star CHARLOTTE SULLIVAN (Population 436, Defendor) and cult television icon MITCH MARKOWITZ (The Hilarious House of Frightenstein). The film also features an original score by world beat superstar MERCAN DEDE (Kingdom of Heaven, Passion of the Christ) and effects work by ANTHONY SCOTT BURNS (MTV, Paul Van Dyk’s Evolution) and MARCUS ALQUIERES (The Adventures of Tintin, Rise of the Planet of the Apes). An official selection of over 30 international film festivals, The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh tells the story of Leon (Poole), an antiques collector who inherits a house from his estranged mother (Redgrave), only to discover that she had been living in a shrine devoted to a mysterious cult. Soon, he comes to suspect his mother’s oppressive spirit still lingers within her home and is using items in the house to contact him with an urgent message.
The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh won the Best Film Prize at the South African HorrorFest, the Audience Jury Prize at the Siena International Film Festival, Special Prize winner at the Morbido Film festival and took home the Best Cinematography award at the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Film Festival. The film was named Best of 2012 by Dread Central and Top of 2012 by Blueprint Review, Zombiehamster and The Mind Reels.
