SEX SCANDALS IN RELIGION is a compelling, original four part documentary series that takes an unprecedented look at controversial

incidents in four mainstream faiths and their ensuing repercussions. The series looks at alleged cases in Islam of gang rapes;

Orthodox Judaism and pedophilia; Buddhism and sexual impropriety; and Evangelical Christianity and a pastor’s relationship with young

fatherless men.

ROBIN BENGER – a producer/director/writer/narrator of television documentaries. Born in England,

raised in South Africa, he’s been working in Canadian journalism and documentary filmmaking since

1976. “Individuality, unpredictability, relevance, rich characters and a strong instinct for narrative are

the qualities we aim for in Cogent/Benger documentaries.”  (Series Executive Producer and IN THE NAME OF AYATOLLAH Director)

PETER KAVANAGH – a director/writer who has been responsible for some of the most memorable

programming on the CBC, including The Fifth Estate, Land and Sea, and The Sunday Edition. He is a

freelance writer for the Globe and Mail, The Washington Times, The Irish Catholic to name a few. He

has consulted with universities around the world and written a number of books on politics and social
