In addition to the 3 days of film screenings, and also held at the Carlton Cinema, Shorts Not Pants Film Festival will offer some insightful experiences for attendees. On Saturday, November 18, from 10:30am to 12:00pm, industry veterans will share their insights during an engaging panel discussion, on the subject of making, selling films, getting distributor attention, breaking into the broadcast/streaming arena, and hearing from programmers about the ever changing film festival landscape. And to lead us into our Festival week, on Tuesday November 14, Seed & Spark is back, open to all fans of Shorts Not Pants, with a terrific online workshop:  Crowdfunding To Build Independence, at 7pm. Once registered, you will receive a link the day of the workshop. Oh, and, it’s FREE.

Thrilled also this year to present our esteemed jury members comprised of experts from the film industry. They have been busy watching, and will select the top films in four categories: Narrative, Animation, Documentary, and Canadian Shorts. Which also includes cash prize money for the filmmakers. And of course, like any good festival, we will feature an Audience Choice Award, allowing attendees to vote for their favourite film.
